Welcome, Alannah

I was elated to welcome this bundle to my home studio! I had been given lots of notice as to her arrival as her aunt and I have been friends for many years. Her aunt is the owner of Cherry Bomb Catering and I met her years ago somehow on the Northern Nevada weddings industry circuit. Reno, Nevada, is a small town in case you were wondering and if you start networking, it's like playing Seven Degrees of Kevin Bacon.

It was a joy to finally meet Alannah and her beautiful parents. Alannah was not sure she wanted to sleep for any posed newborn portraits at first, so we took a slew of awake portraits, feeding portraits and a few wailing portraits for good measure. Her parents worked their magic and when she was ready, she let me take a few portraits of her in some of my favorite newborn curled up poses. Sigh. There isn't anything better for me than snuggling a newborn baby and shushing her to sleep. Here are a few of my personal favorites from this session.
